again there is talk of the necessary fall

and a rise in grace commensurate

with one's acceptance of fault and one's amendments

of error going forward on the soul's quest


how rocky the road

how crooked the trail everyone must stumble along

if this fall was necessary

will the atonement truly be as compensatory?
