the sidewalks of Palm Beach
reveal the future of urban living
designs from Atlantis
sprout up filling
every empty space
along wide palm tree laden
streets that resemble
a Hollywood set designer's idea
of some Avenue of the Sphinxes
from Egypt which had no known
antiquity as if neon kitsch
were a realized vision of the god
I'm glad I'm just passing through
my dream cannot acknowledge a candy-colored paradise
