let us begin again


too much has been lost in this sojourn

too much has failed to reach full potential


I did my best but lost it to pain

and anger and the scars are there in me


even if those who hurt me still grieve under

the unholy assaults of our shaky attempts at amendment


let us begin again even if there is nothing to save
