under the silver light of the fading day
there's as much reason to go as there is to stay
either here or there it should suffice
that something will beggar you or pay off your price
you never can know what concerns you've created come back to you
and a long period dazed and supine must been gotten through
before the reddening light of looming night
will fill your eyes with a shining darkness to soothe your sight
