after years of bitterness

and destroying my health

in hopelessness

at ever being active in life again


I was gifted with a perfect position

a life's experience applied without

breaking a sweat and mine to lose

because many in the place like me


and know my quality and have my back...

oh I raged often through these

fallow years probably failing

some obscure test of faith


but even that cannot diminish the joy

and gratitude of making it through....
