you spend your life dispensing

information on a 'need-to-know' basis


to loved ones daily strangers

everyone


but the moment you lower your guard

and admit something or do the right thing


by others...that's when some long forgotten sin

rises up to bite your ass


and does it teach to be always open

and hamstring yourself on restrictive binds


of someone's idea of righteousness...or does it teach you

to keep your mouth shut at all times?


what chance to learn when the learning prevents all will to learn?
