autumn heat welling up...
in organic time we're already at Fall
and the recent chilly days
were a tonic for the likes of me...
real 'going-back-to-school' weather
I was never a fan of summer...
the heat ghastly and the humidity
a living death
but this is more like it...
the low leaning afternoon sun
casting long shadows across the streets
irradiating the russet-turning leaves
and now the autumn heat wells up
and at last the last of the summer fades from the year...
