I've fallen


my ass is out

you can jeer as you please


I took gambles in life

when I succeeded


I was a hero

when I failed I was a goat


and when I botched the biggest

gamble of my life


all intent was forgotten

and all I heard was


"you made a stupid move"

even from those who themselves


had made "stupid moves"

here is our fellowship


to tear down anyone who dares

in their vanity of righteousness


to outstrip the others

to pull this one down so the rest


may be confirmed in their venial sins
