we covet and destroy the works and joys of others

to get our own and fulfill our need


and when we have it we destroy it ourselves

or have a bigger evil come and destroy it for us


and we seem to learn nothing at all from this

we took what we wanted and had it taken from us


or we destroyed before it was taken so none may have it
