that will sustain the Spirit we disdain?
our theories make fools of us
and we think it is affirmation of our wisdom--
we have no wisdom--
we've outgrown religion and fake morals and
the official lies that create our worldly realities
but haven't got the maturity to walk in the deserts
outside tradition and know where we are going--
oh who help us then
as we press on without a choice in the matter
to what unification--what ultimate fulfillment--
what arrival safe at what home?
