and lovers who hurt and heal me
in the same embrace?
where are my mystic moments
that remove me from worlds
where heart and mind face off
staring at each other?
where is that saving grace
that's supposed to supplant karma?
was I so heinous that
I deserve no mercy?
where and when is the release
for which I uselessly ask?
