looking out the window of a Thai restaurant
the Christmas lights are already up over the street
and it's not even Thanksgiving yet
it will be spring before you know it
we keep busy with our lives
then when we pause and look up
everything's changed and we say "what the..."
no great observations here
just my moment of looking up
saying "what the...."
as I turn back to my pad thai
before it gets cold
