why join the infernal chorus to protest

what they themselves are a part of?


you can be mildly ironic in your search

for transcendence (if you can even imagine


what that entails...and you can't...) and if idiots

think you're a cynic then laugh them off too


the workings of the universe

are too vast and crazy to take seriously


a lighter touch is more keenly felt

when you have nothing left you care about


except the wonder of what comes next for your nose-thumbing....
