today I was finally broken down

today I faced the consequences

of my vanity and knew for sure

I could not coordinate my fate


even Jesus went this way

"Father why have you forsaken me?' indeed

no one gets off easy

no one escapes the Will of the One


who demands our blood and suffering

for atonement of our sins

and the settling of our karmic debts

we have nothing at all to say


but to face that judgement...that vengeance...

and endure it....
