blind trust in an illusion

is what makes worldly power strong


and the weak yearn for the strength

that the world's rulers embrace


in the reality of death

and the total apathy toward it


that the powerful ignore thinking

they could be stronger than it


and not caring whether they are or not


as long as they are alive in their skins

they'll know nothing


not even themselves and the weak who envy them

are no better themselves


blind trust in nothing but what they can hold in their hands
