wisely clear or clearly insane


we have our wisdom

and excuses and then some


you think you're so sure

but I'm not so sure


and I'm not so sure I'm clear

to point out the bullshit that I hear


another Winter another New Year

another new set of conditions to fear


or just say to hell with the whole damn issue

our intent guaranteeing nothing true


we make worm tracks through the cheese of time

and disown them with "oh...that's not mine..."


aware of a reckoning that will settle that refusal

with no more ignorance to bamboozle


whether holy or profane

or tentatively clear or clearly insane....
