THE JUDGMENT AT LAST

the judgement has been made

I pay with all I've got

and all good intent was as nothing

for the expected forgiveness was not


to be had and foolish to pursue

this is how faith makes a fool of you

deluded in some right-brained belief

that as malignant as it is untrue


you cannot save yourself without

losing all you wish to hold

that alone will do you in as you watch

your delusion gather over your head to fold


judgement comes from the process you live

if you can lose yourself and deign to forgive
