the sorrow of life is unbearable

but only because we attach ourselves

to such notions


choose instead the joy of life

it too can be unbearable

with such happiness that would


draw tears from the driest eye

and softness from the hardest heart


as long as you are in this world

choose what you can bear

on your way to the peace beyond


such contrasts....
