easy to sit and just suppose

that there is nothing to do

and that all endeavor is through


you confuse intention with its result

ignore without some system to consult

but when pain gives your will revival

you'll find things to do for base survival


much as you'd like to be done

that time for you has yet to come

and the striving on will without doubt

show you what you'll need do without


then bereft you will come to know

how hard to say so it goes
