so this is how I'm going to die


at the mercy of morons

at the hands of idiots


I'm supposed to love

as my brethren


but this life blinded me

to the supposed holiness we all share


all I see are beggars and whores

and no real humility in them


because they are busy

manipulating guilt in the soft


outlooker who averts his eyes

in guilt and fear


and I will die by these hands
