no matter how much you try

to tie up loose ends

and finalize your earthly business


there's always something you'll miss

something beyond your control

that will be the thread that ties you


to your karma and ties you

to future lives of trying and succeeding

or trying and failing


yes the liability's on you

and yes in your humanness

there are some things that are bound to fail


but as long as you don't impose

your limited mind as the end-all

and admit to the process of life


beyond your or anyone's control

that's when things will fall out as they should

and if you're wise you'll greet the boon


and move beyond the limits you thought

you'd never thought you'd never surmount

clinging as you do to this eventually doomed earth


but awakening to the fact of other worlds...
