I gave up my legend in order to live
let it lie forgotten in my history
for detachment from my life I would give
anything up to and including my mystery
but nothing's forgotten or fully atoned
you must live to face that loathsome decree
and when I have suffered repented and been boned
that's when my finish will be left to me
