were all the prophets delusional?


it's one thing to aim for what is beyond our understanding

and another to think your faith alone could make mountains dance


turn to the god who you think will save you

that One that will leave you hanging by your own thread


while you viciously pray to that Ineffable

(with images of a stake driven into the Sacred Heart)


as if anyone but yourself could save you...

be your own prophet


describe your own arc intersecting your time

and divine intervention incoming


then follow your exhortations to the end of your life

and if you didn't get it right so what? you are not God


your only job was to clear your throat and sing words beyond all delusion...
