the end of summer broils mildly today

(90 degrees at this time of year

is slightly different than earlier in the season

as the sun isn't as high or as strong)


but it still makes us break a sweat

as south of the equator the people there

have had enough darkness

and are warming up to their summer's approach


and so we'll speak of particular seasons

particular to wherever on earth you may be

and speak uselessly of ends and beginnings

as for the time being the sun's not finished yet...
