I wouldn't have any backup plans if I were you

nothing we've known will be left standing


if we survive this total breakage of our diminishing era

what new rising from its ruin will teach us new ways to be


who we are...and maybe it will be an advance from what has been

but even if that is the case human nature will still be the same


and among those who will strive to go forward

will again be those who will try to drag us back...
