death will end this life's woes

and confirm the fleeting happinesses

that made it bearable


but because life is active and ongoing

I will continue elsewhere

where at some new incarnation


we'll meet again drawn to each other

and feeling something vaguely familiar

and in our soulful amnesia


take yet again a plunge

our wrongs to expunge and what pure

goodness to increase


and only in a fulfillment of enlightenment

will the wheel cease and we be released
