it was 45 years ago today I started writing in earnest


45 years!!! and a ton of completed works (and a more than equal amount

of out takes and fragments and aborted drafts)

that many will never see


but they'll be there for who can receive it

in what state of existence

and what validity and worth affirmed by who will receive


the fruits of these long living years of labor...


to hell with the critics and judges and kibitzers

writing all this and reaching those ears that will hear


is the whole and only point...
