much as I despair of this life
I have to remember this isn't the only one
it might be wiser for me to stop regretting
all that was done that can't be undone
and know a future hardship will be the atonement
if I were wise and strong enough to handle it right
with more behind than ahead of me
it feels fine to settle into the moment
(the same eternal instant from which we all commenced
and in which we always live)
it's all well and good to know this as a concept in mind
but to live in it as the Only Reality there is...ah...
there is where the illusions of knowledge fall
and I do my best to disregard...and rise...
