MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE

tell a rationalist you're cursed

and he'll say you're making excuses


tell a New Age nincompoop you're blocked

and he'll say you're doing it to yourself


they may be right as far as the mechanics

of such things go


but then their ignorance protects them

and they'll never understand how blessed they are


they have yet to face their own self-judgments

or lives where their ready-made answers


will block their every move

and they'll only wonder why is this happening to me?


no one lifetime provides any answers

and who knows what culmination will enlighten...
