it’s times like this

make me wonder if all the striving and trying

to amend and do right is in vain…

I speak and I know I’m not being heard…

but when none can understand

or accept the communication

then how can the connection

be reattached and made whole again?

Or must it be? Should it be?

It’s time like these that make me doubt

the power of words and all that anyone has to say…
