dodging tyranny after tyranny
through every moment of every day
each tyranny a cry to be free
at the expense of someone else's freedom
and all these tyrannies being aimed
at us all each to each
dodging this every moment of every day
I stay on the move
I no longer pause on a street corner
just to catch my breath for fear
that anyone could confront me with some insanity
I stay on the move and say in passing
"you better get me with the first shot
or you're finished"
