run from even a simple phrase like 'I love you'


how can you vouch for its authenticity?

is it a true expression of devotion


or just a projection of another's hunger

and desire to manipulate and control?


but how can you run away? unless you're psychic

how do you know what it's about until you experience it


and then find joy in the choice or wind up wishing you'd died first?
