I had such a beautiful morning

warm hazy sunshine


women of all ages hot and sexy

in their shorts and summer dresses


people ambling on their way

to the train in their Friday morning calm


feeling the unity I imagine

unity to be


and then stupidly I thought of God


and oh how the sun dimmed and a darkness

laid waste to peace


and oh how the joy soured in the mouth of a demon

so I did what I know is right and


stopped thinking about God and was the happier for it
