I envy no one his position


what abilities spent

in bearing the distinct burden


he acquired in ignorance

of the Law


no pissing contents here

to determine who has life harder


or as to why the whole damn world

was built in this way


it has become so much more preferable

to stay out of the way


of those who've yet to learn this issue


and sit here at this sidewalk table sipping a beer

in the blazing sunshine of an ordinary day
