AMBITION'S ROTTEN FRUIT

to get on top

you must sink to the bottom


for eons

we've heard this


and for eons

we've ignored this


thinking "no...

that doesn't apply to me"...


try telling someone

they're wrong


try confessing and see

what sympathy you get


we're all little kings and queens

sitting atop on bottom-heavy thrones


and we wound up there

by everyone else mischief


no...we think...it's never us...

and there...right there...our Oneness


makes liars of all of us...

there is where we see for ourselves our true state


or blind ourselves with the mirrors

of our delusions...I've yet to see where


I'm really at...where are you my confused fellows?
