but nor am I sunk in gloom beyond saving
I accept the whole catalog of grief that is
a person's interior users manual
and I can't kick because I didn't write it
you know "not my will be Thine"
if the Almighty wants it this way
who am I to go on trying to please?
I tweak this and I slam that
and the damn contraption sputters back to service
