oh how I wish I was the simpleton I was
I knew nothing and thought nothing of it
and I probably acted more freely and proper
than the egomaniac who replaced him
but all of us pay some kind of price
and my arrogance is all spent
we all dig into our loose pockets for change
and hope the god will take an i.o.u.
