to make amends

and no one afflicted

or compassion or forgiveness


to hell with the ones you've hurt


you struggled to make things right

and if they can't forgive

it's on them


and if the One cares more

for vengeance than for amends and forgiveness


then let the raving gangster gouge the pound of flesh
