closes me down
and my life (what's left of it)
pivots on this moon
opens a new way
from the old closure
I lie in bed
and watch the waxing gibbous
approach this point
and the weariness feels good
and slipping into sleep
is as peaceful as the breathing of a baby
would my actual leaving of the world
be this calming this serene
but however it comes
I'll follow the full moonlight up
and toss down a secure line
for who of my tribe will follow...
