it feels as if phase 1

of the future has already passed

a long time churning in the changes

only to be thrown out

onto the ground

and suddenly all to which

you tried to accustom yourself

is over and done

and another increment in time

is put into place as piece after piece

of the past disappear and

you can't remember at all

what was there before

and now phase 2 rears up

and even the savvy (well some of them)

scratch their heads and say

oh shit now what?

(now good to be reassured

by the eternal verities)

as they themselves are left behind

with no order and to no mind

and they may live to see

phase 3 come into existence

maybe even phase 4

if they live long enough

(I'm so glad I won't

unless it be my unfortunate karma

to be reborn into it and what does that matter

if all returns to the World are bring-downs?)

but whatever time you're living in

will see come and go

the attachments that do not hold except in mind

as memory with to come always becoming

what was there before
