I wish I didn't find out all the conditions of creation

that have made me so ready to damn myself in trying


to do right and have it matter not at all

to see any good you try to preserve in the spirit


of repentance wiped away utterly

you make your move and leave the rest to God


just stumble along and do right then wait

for the unmitigated suffering to be unleashed by this God who "loves us so"....
