SOFT

I'm getting soft


the rages don't matter any more


everyone forges their own way forward

and makes heavens or hells

for themselves and for others


and as my own life sees me owning up

to the ones I've mistreated

they also are standing up and acknowledging their wrongs


and the forgivenesses close any circles that need closure


to the young who have yet to work out their way

all I can say is you won't have to worry this for years yet

but those years do fly and soon enough


you will also get soft and either rage at your end


or embrace the closure that opens....
