how many times can you say goodbye

without leaving?

I've questioned this before and now I know...


in each instant of what we call "time"

we are destroyed and re-created

we are not who we were a minute ago


and we are not what we will be

in the next minute...

like cells we multiple in ourselves


and remain what we are...so if there are

no words to combine "goodbye" and "hello"

then why try to say anything?


it is happening in the instant...one simple intake

of breath that is hello and goodbye...
