why step into the unknown
when you can cling to your skin
(long as it endures)
and claim you didn't know better?
know better about what was so plain...
that loving others before yourself
fulfilled you...
that being a servant is greater than
being a king...
that by being the least of all
you are among the greatest of all...
why step into the unknown then
and face the fire your flesh hid you from so well?
oh fools you fool no one...no denials plausible...
