I'm fascinated by
the extent of mass hypnosis
that keeps people
content in their chains
not that being a
free-range ersatz mystic
has any great perks
but it is simply
another large yard
in which to shuffle and peck
little red rooster
strutting among the hens
this is what I get for resisting
the line drawn in the dirt...
