I'm with you on many things but especially this--

I used to work at the Berg Collection at the New York Public Library

and knew many of these glory-mad yokel wanna-bes--come nasty

to the Big Time because they'd heard this was how it was done--

I knew more poetry than fists-full of them--while they treated me like a boy--

after all--what could a clerk like me possibly know?

any time you're ready to piss on their doors
