ends begin
and beginnings end
and all the while
you're where you are
everything happening
and everything that's happened
whirling around and past you
dying leaves or the coming snow
and a lifetime of mistaken faiths
have led you to this collapse
time has run out and every chance
has been spent and whatever ends
or begins is as nothing
as all in this earth is nothing...
