a change has infused us

beyond conscious comprehension

we're not sure what it is

but we feel it

and can never go back to what we were

anxious and excited

and slightly crazed

as if we were ill and this new mode

is a shot of antibiotics

and this new take no more

than a fever-inducing cure...
