no one hears or cares
who coughs outside or rumbles 'neath stairs
or sees and forgets where the clipped bystander fell
no need to talk or stalk
the outside world's outlandish affairs
whatever the imagination bears
can be reached in a 5 minute walk
elsewhere they will hear what they should have heard
before they left evidence even they couldn't explain
who would go first though none shall remain
as they turn and scurry without a word
