empty

I wait for

what will fill me


but it is not quite

as promised...

empty is not filled


with a grace that sustains...

it is just empty

and what you fill it with


is just as empty...

anything you can imagine

is not the Ineffable "It"


empty I wait and

for what I wait is empty....

my soul is a kite

playing in the wind


while anchored to

the very remorse


that sent me aloft...

wired between  the heavens


and the steadfast earth

my kite traces nothing in the sky....
